Walking in Royal Deeside

For just a lazy, scenic walk, head off by the River Dee at the hotel along the Deeside Way, an unused railways line close to the hotel which follows the ambling river.

Hill walkers will be in their element on nearby Scolty Hill or one of the higher peaks accessed from the Cairn O’Mount road, such as Clachnaben.  We are a stone’s throw away from Scotland’s largest National Park.  Officially recognised in November 2018 as one of the best places to see the Northern Lights, it has been awarded gold tier ‘Dark Sky Park’ status.
